Fall Starbucks Review
is the pumpkin spice latte really the best fall drink
The transition into the fall season is finally here, and with that comes the uprising of the pumpkin spice devotees, but is this really the best drink? I decided to try two other drinks, as a person who doesn’t like coffee, to see whether these are really worth your money or just a fall season gimmick.

Pumpkin Spice Latte- 6/10

Starting off with the iconic drink the “PSL.” Going into it, I knew that there was a lot of hype and five star reviews which really made me think this was going to be a really good drink. I expected the pumpkin to have a big role in this latte but it didn’t. When I had the first sip I couldn’t really taste a lot of pumpkin in the drink and it was just having quite a strong coffee flavor. However, with additional sips it was very milky with a hint of some spice which made me like this drink a little better. Admittedly, I am a person who doesn't like coffee, so this drink, which is loaded with it, wasn't for me.Thus I am giving this a rating of 6/10.
New- Iced Apple NonDairy Cream Chai: 8/10

The next drink was the Iced Apple NonDairy Cream Chai. I had high expectations for this drink, assuming it would taste like an apple and knowing chai is something that is very popular at Starbucks. After taking my first sip, I instantly tasted a little hint of cinnamon, which overpowered the apple a little bit. Even though it didn’t taste how I thought it would, I still really enjoyed it. This drink definitely had some chai in it with some caffeine, but it wasn't playing a huge part in the drink. This drink is great if you're not a huge coffee/chai drinker, thus giving this a rating of 8/10.
Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew- 4/10

The last drink I tried was the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew. I had high expectations, since I have tried one of their cold brews before, and it wasn’t that bad. I had to first mix the drink since the milk was on top and the coffee was on the bottom. When I had the first sip it tasted really strong of coffee and espresso, which for me, wasn’t very pleasant. There was a hint of pumpkin flavor, but the overwhelming amount of coffee made it less enjoyable. There was some pumpkin spice on the top, which made the drink’s presentation really nice, and very appealing to a customer. Overall, I give this drink a 4/10.

Is the Pumpkin Spice Latte really the best drink?
When I tried the pumpkin spice latte, I did understand the hype since it was a nice drink for people who love coffee. But the pumpkin aspect wasn’t there as much as I thought it would be. There was a hint of pumpkin in there but once I had one sip, I was expecting a shot of pumpkin in most of the drink, which would've really brought the flavor out. Overall, I think that the “PSL” is a very overrated drink that people just try for the hype instead of the actual taste, and that’s why I rated it pretty low.
