INTRODUCTION
CULTURE IN MALAYSIA
Malaysia's diverse population, exceeding 33 million, comprises ethnic groups such as Malays, Chinese, Indians, and indigenous communities. Urban centers like Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru are densely populated due to economic opportunities and advanced infrastructure, while Sabah and Sarawak are less populated and rich in indigenous cultures. Although the population is predominantly young, an aging trend poses future socioeconomic challenges. Population growth is driven by birth rates, migration, and urbanization, with a significant shift towards urban areas in pursuit of better living standards.

All states in Malaysia experienced a population increase in 2023. Selangor and Johor saw the highest population numbers, driven by strong economic opportunities and job prospects in these regions. This growth provides insight into migration trends and the factors contributing to demographic changes across the country.

Penang is renowned for its Peranakan culture, a unique blend of Malay and Chinese traditions. The state's culinary offerings, such as Penang laksa, char kway teow, and roti canai, are also widely celebrated and well-known.

Perak is rich in Malay and Chinese heritage, with festivals such as Gawai and Chap Goh Mei being widely celebrated. Traditional arts like wayang kulit and silat are still practiced, preserving the state's cultural legacy

CONCLUSION
Malaysia's cultural heritage is a mix of traditions from its many ethnic groups. Each state has its own unique customs and art forms. For example, Johor is known for the Zapin dance, while Kelantan has the Mak Yong theater. Terengganu is famous for Songket weaving. These traditions show how different communities in Malaysia live together peacefully. Through festivals, music, dance, and crafts, Malaysia keeps its rich culture alive, giving a glimpse into its history and identity. In this story map we show the cultural heritage for every state in Malaysia to make it easier for user to understand about cultural heritage in Malaysia. With the existence of this story map, all citizens can learn about the culture of their respective states, this story map was made because there are a few people, especially the younger generation, who do not know about the culture of their ancestors.
