Today, the East Bank does not live up to its geographic location -- adjacent to downtown and East Nashville neighborhoods -- and its economic role at the center of one of the fastest growing metropolitan regions in the country. Scroll through the map below to learn more about current conditions on the East Bank.
The conditions shown above highlight the East Bank's impediments: disjointed streets, surface parking areas, and other large-scale infrastructure centered around cars. In order to create a liveable, thriving East Bank, we have to address these obstacles and rethink the East Bank's character. The four vision concepts, listed below, emerged from eighteen months of extensive public engagement and directly shaped the infrastructure and design recommendations of the Vision Plan.

Catalysts will help transform the East Bank into these vibrant, walkable neighborhoods. Catalysts are key sites, projects, and places of opportunity. Use the map below to learn more about neighborhood catalysts.
