Lake Nyos

Lake Nyos is a cater lake in the northwest region of Cameroon near the capitol Yaoundé. Lake Nyos is a deep lake that is near an inactive volcano in the Oku volcanic plain.

Lake Tanganyika

This lake is the second oldest freshwater lake in the world located in the East African rift between Tanzania and Congo. It is also  the second deepest after Lake Baikal.

This is one of the Great African lakes. It is Africa's largest lake by area, the world's largest tropical lake. It is considered young because it is only 400,000 years old. Most of it's waster is from rainfall.

This lake is the largest of Antartica's lakes and it is located at the southern Pole of Cold. Scientists believe this lake exists because of volcanic activity. It is 150 miles long with a maximum width of about 31 miles.

The Mediterranean Sea is a sea connected to the Atlantic Ocean and  surrounded by the Mediterranean Basin with land surrounding it. It covers  970,000 square miles.

In Africa, this is the highest point at 5,895 meters. In the world it is the largest mountain not part of a mountain range. It is made up of Kibo, Mawenzi, and Shira.

Namib Desert is a coastal desert in Southern Africa that stretches more than 2,000 kilometres along the Atlantic coasts of Angola. A fun fact is that it is typically a rainless area so there is a fragmentary drainage pattern.

It is located at Turkey's Inner Aegean region, in the River Menderes valley. It is a total of total about 2,700 meters long, 600 m wide and 160 m high. It is made of sedimentary rock deposited by mineral water from the hot springs.
