Allumbaugh St | Irving St | Franklin Rd

The Ada County Highway District is making plans to improve routes for walking and bicycling on the Boise Bench.

These projects will make it easier for neighbors to access schools, jobs, shopping and public transportation.

• Allumbaugh Street between Fairview Avenue and Northview Street
• Irving Street between Curtis Road andRoosevelt Street
• Franklin Road between Milwaukee Street and Liberty Street

Sidewalks on Allumbaugh Street, Irving Street and Franklin Road are narrow or nonexistent, often forcing children and other pedestrians to walk in the road next to traffic. These areas also lack safe and accessible pedestrian signals and curb ramps for pedestrians with mobility limitations, and other amenities.

Projects on Allumbaugh Street, Irving Street and Franklin Road are part of  ACHD’s Five Year Plan.  They were supported by neighborhoods, agencies, schools, local jurisdictions and many others.
