The Mill thrived until 1957, when it was sold to new owners. The homes were offered to their respective tenants. The homes not bought by the current residents were sold to investors.

At the ECDS, visual design specialists, computer scientists, historians, geographers, and interdisciplinary teams of graduate and undergraduate students work together to find, collect, and use blueprints, photographs, and descriptions of residences, churches, and businesses to bring 1920s Cabbagetown alive for the interested public to explore.
