For one the art and culture, New York is known for its Broadway shows, MET opera and art museums and just generally being very in touch with pop culture. There is also many opportunities for those that live in new york such as access to good healthcare, education and jobs.

Urbanization has hit an all time high where we are now seeing more people living in urban environments rather than rural areas.
