Joseph Banks

Joseph Banks was born on the 12th of February 1743. At the age of five he already had a passion for natural science and already had something he wanted to be in the future. Later he went to Oxford but left so he could join Captain Cook’s first voyage (1768-1771).He brought back 30000 plants. He went to many places on his journey and was very special on his expedition. Later he left the HMS Endeavour and went to become a Botanist and found out more about plants. He died in 1820 but we still remember him today because he changed our understanding of the world.
