Surrey continues to build out the services available for community members who are experiencing homelessness. Using a trauma informed and compassionate model, the services offered in Surrey are designed to be low-barrier so that people can access the support they need.

Healthy Living Complex of Care

Operated by Surrey Urban Mission Society, the Healthy Living Complex provides safe and dignified access to washrooms, showers, laundry, and respite services every day from 6 am to 12 am.

Street SMART

City Centre Library 10350 University Drive 

Operated by Lookout Society and City of Surrey, Community Service Workers are available daily from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm to help people connect to services and supports.

Nightshift Ministries

10635 King George Blvd

Nightshift provides daily outreach, counselling, education, hot meals and connection to housing supports in the Whalley area.  

Surrey Food Bank

The Surrey Food Bank provides access to food and resources for families requiring support.

SUMSplace Shelter

Operated by Surrey Urban Mission Society, SUMSplace Shelter provides 3 daily meal services, shelter beds, access to support workers who help guests transition into housing, obtain IDs and provide access to medical services.

Olive Branch Shelter

Operated by Surrey Urban Mission Society, Olive Branch provides 43 shelter beds for women and men, daily meals, laundry, and shower services. Nursing staff are available during the day, and residents have access to safe injection space and Managed Alcohol Program (MAP).

Cove Shelter

Operated by Surrey Urban Mission Society, Cove Shelter provides 42 shelter beds for women and men, laundry, shower, daily meals, and outreach services with Community Connection Workers.  

Gateway Shelter

10667 135A St

Operated by Lookout society, Gateway Shelter offers 40 shelter beds for adults 19+. Gateway offers gender specific sleeping areas and washrooms along with laundry, shower facilities, free coffee, phone access and daily meal service. 

Parkway Shelter

10666 City Prkwy

Operated by Lookout Society and BC Housing, Parkway Shelter provides low barrier shelter for adults, with 40 beds available along with laundry, showers, and daily meals. Parkway Shelter operates in conjunction with Front Room to provide a 24-hour drop-in resource centre. 

Surrey Women's Centre SMART Van

10075 Whalley Blvd

Operated by Surrey Women’s Centre, SMART Van is a 24-hour mobile crisis response for survivors of physical and sexual assault. SMART Van provides harm reduction supplies, food and drinks, snacks, hygiene and small medical packs, and housing lists to women and youth. SMART Van operates 24 hours, 7 days a week.  

Atira Women's Resource Society

Atria offers short term shelter and transitional longer stay supportive option services to women, along with programs for children who have witnessed abuse.  

Guildford Shelter

Operated by Lookout society, Guildford Shelter offers 40 shelter beds for adults 19+. Guildford offers integrated housing program for shelter guests, which aids with ID replacement, housing searches, assistance applications, advocacy and referrals to other agencies. 

Elizabeth Fry Society Rosewood Shelter

Located in Surrey, our new Rosewood Building has 60 shelter beds for women and children. Support workers provide awake around the clock support and management of those hotel units for residents providing assistance and support to make plans to address their immediate crisis needs and housing plans. Women are provided meal support and laundry.

Sources Newton Resource Centre

#102 - 13771 72A Ave Sources Advocacy, Housing, and Prevention Services are based out of this location. Offering several mental-health, disability, and poverty-related programs, we  work to advocate, house, and prevent homelessness for all. These programs are funded by the Fraser Health Authority, the Law Foundation, the Government of Canada, and the Provincial Government of B.C. Sources Women's Place

15318 20 Ave Sources Women’s Place provides a variety of FREE resources, programs, and supports that aim to improve the lives of women and their families.
