Northern Michigan's July 2021 Climatology

A very wet month for most of northern Michigan climate locations.

  • All climate sites measured in the top 3 (Gaylord and Traverse City had the wettest July on record) for precipitation in July, with the exception of Houghton Lake...who was still almost an inch above normal for the month. Definitely a wet month for most with sites ranging from about 2 to over 5 inches above normal!
  • Temperatures were near normal to slightly above with Gaylord and Sault Ste. Marie almost 2 degrees above normal for the month.
