Everyone has a story to tell, and we are no different. At Gwinnett County our goal is to deliver GIS and digital data to Gwinnett agencies and the general public. The GIS division under the Information Technology department will empower each department to utilize the GIS data and applications specific to their department to tell their own story.

Gwinnett County uses GIS data and ArcGIS for planning and zoning, property records, parks, transportation planning, traffic and accident analysis, elections administration, public safety (police and fire), public utilities (water and sewer), economic development, and environmental and natural resource management.
Applications
Here you'll find mapping and data related applications such as StoryMaps, Dashboards, and Surveys.
The GIS Division creates customized maps showing exact locations of property by street address or lot number, infrastructure such as roads, schools, and utilities, and hydrologic features like streams, rivers, and lakes.
Featured Applications
Gwinnett County’s Story maps use geography as a means of organizing and presenting information. They tell the story of a place, event, issue, trend, or pattern in a geographic context. They combine interactive maps with other rich content—text, photos, illustrations, video, and audio—with an intuitive user experiences.
