Open to All! Join us in celebrating  GIS Day  with your innovative and creative mapping projects! Reflect your thoughts, experiences, and emotions through maps and help us explore the world through different lenses.

Embrace Your Creativity! Feel free to explore various topics and materials for your submission. Think outside the box and venture into the world of spatial concepts!

Competition Categories:

  • Maps: Traditional or innovative cartographic representations.
  • StoryMaps: Combine the art of storytelling with the power of GIS to narrate a compelling spatial story.

  Spark Your Imagination: “but not limited”  

Personal Journey Maps: Dive deep into your past and showcase the spatial aspects of your life. Whether it’s a map of experiences, significant locales, journeys, or cherished memories. Let your personal story shine!

Map of Emotions: Visualize the myriad of feelings experienced around the campus or the city. Let emotions guide your cartography!

Transportation Maps: Design alternative transportation routes and raise awareness of sustainable transportation. Think sustainable!

Historical Maps: Explore the relationship between geographic space and historical events such as wars, migrations, or social movements. Every historical event has a spatial tale to tell!

Creative Artwork Related to Maps and GIS: Unleash your artistic side by creating visual art inspired by maps and GIS. Whether abstract or literal. Explore and express your artwork through a geographic lens!

And More: From 3D maps, urban green spaces, thematic maps, to fictional maps inspired by literature, movies, or video games.

Guidelines:

• Submissions from Anyone are welcome. • Submissions must be original and not violate any copyright laws. • Each participant can submit up to Two entries. • Be sure to adhere to the submission deadlines.

  • Winners will be announced at the GIS Day event on Wednesday November 20, 2024, and also notified online through email.
  • Voting Process: Details about the voting process will be shared after all submissions have been received, following the submission deadline.
