A genealogical treasure map.

Denise J. Rice wrote a book on the Churches and Graveyards in Annapolis County. Inspired by the work of Dr. Allan Marbles who extensively cataloged the graveyards between 1966 and 1977, Denise photographed the churches and augmented Dr. Marbles work. Having published all of this material, she made it available to Mapannapolis whose volunteers created the story map here.

Annapolis County became home to the earliest settlers from Europe in the early 1600s. Family names from France and England and Scotland made their first appearances in North America here. United Empire Loyalists who left the United States after the Revolution began new lives here, as did Black Loyalists, and new family lines.
