Shakerag Park offers a variety of sports and recreation on the eastern tip of Johns Creek near the Chattahoochee River. It has a picturesque lake, lined with deciduous trees and rose bushes.
General Information
Shakerag Park provides 66 acres of recreational space that include:
- More than one mile of pedestrian trails
- Athletic fields
- Two playgrounds
- Four picnic pavilions
- Quarter-mile track
- Cricket facilities

Pavilions
Shakerag Park hosts four covered picnic pavilions. All but pavilion #4 have charcoal grills and reservation opportunities. Each pavilion can seat at least 12 guests. Use of a pavilion by any organization or sports team requires a rental permit.
Cricket
Six cricket batting cages are located on the east side of the park, among the first of their kind in the region. While some of these facilities are first-come, first-served, others are available for rent.
Soccer and Lacrosse
Shakerag Park features two large, grassy fields, as well as one turf athletic field. The turf field is surrounded by a quarter-mile paved track. This field is suitable for lacrosse and soccer, while the other two fields can host several youth soccer events at once.
Playgrounds
The two playgrounds at Shakerag Park are fenced in are partially shaded. The playground adjacent to the soccer fields is most suitable for younger children. Pictured is the playground by the lake.
Scenic Nature Trails
More than one mile of pedestrian trails meander through the trees of Shakerag Park. There is plenty of scenery to take in along these mostly unpaved trails.
