Default Project Location uses Cloud Storage Services, such as OneDrive and Google Drive

5.2 It is recommended to avoid using cloud storage services (e.g., OneDrive, Google Drive) for saving project data in ArcGIS Drone2Map. As of February 2025, ArcGIS Pro does not support cloud storage services, and using it may lead to data corruption or Drone2Map malfunctions.

For more information, please visit  ArcGIS Pro F&Q  and  Technical Support of ESRI .

5.3 One way to avoid saving your data on a cloud storage accidentally is to make sure your Default Project Location does NOT use a folder synced with a cloud storage service. Please follow the following steps to confirm and change default project location.

How to confirm and change your default project location

Open Settings Window

5.4 By default, projects are saved to your user profile directory at Documents\ArcGIS\Projects. However, depending on the computer's configuration, some user profile directories may use cloud storage services.

5.5 To confirm and change your default project location, start Drone2Map, click Settings twice to open Settings window.

5.6 Navigate to New Project under Application section and confirm and change the following fields. Set these to a local directory that is not synced with cloud storage.

  • Create a new project in this default location
  • Create a new batch project in this default location
