CANdid Access by PEACH Research Unit

Welcome to Candid Access, an online platform to collect and share photos and information about the accessibility of our built environment. Please watch the video below to learn more about the project and how you can get involved. To quickly access the features of the website, click on the tabs above. You can also visit  PEACH Research's webpage  for more information on Candid Access, including its  Terms and Conditions .

To upload a photo from a browser on your phone, desktop computer, or laptop, click on the "Add a Photo" button. On the pop-up page, select "Open in browser" to get started.

You can also contribute to Candid Access remotely using a phone, tablet, or other mobile device by downloading and using the free Survey123 app.  Click here for more details on how to connect to Candid Access from a mobile device .

All photos submitted to Candid Access will appear on the map and in the photo gallery below. Click on the map below to navigate to a point of interest, and click on it to see its description and a photo.  You can follow this link for a full list of submitted photos, their locations, and descriptions presented with alt text . All submissions are reviewed prior to publication and there may be a delay of up to one week before your submissions are publicly visible.

On the map below, you will find additional spatial information concerning accessibility in Halifax. Click through the tabs at the top of the map to select a layer. The data displayed on this map is sourced from  HRM Open Data .
