Northern Michigan's September 2021 Climatology
Slightly above normal temperatures for most of all the climate sites for the month of September, except for Gaylord, who ran 3.3° warmer.
- All climate sites recorded above normal temperatures for the month of September. Most sites were around 1° above normal, with Gaylord reaching the highest above normal mark at 3.3° warmer. Gaylord was also the only site to reach into the top ten...tying 1968 for the 6th warmest September on record.
- Precipitation for the month was about a half an inch to an inch below normal for all sites except for Houghton Lake. Houghton Lake was the only site to record above normal for the month; going 0.31" above normal for September. No site reached among the top ten ranks in the precipitation category.
